Mission
AniParty is the premier U.S. anime song (anisong) DJ club event which draws influence from the “anikura” (アニクラ) subculture of music nightclub event, popularized in Tokyo, Japan. Anikura centers around the “A-POP” (a shortened form of “Akiba-POP”) genre of music, which is an eclectic fusion of anime songs (OPs, EDs, and insert songs to anime series’, video games , and visual novels), otaku-centric J-Pop, J-idol music, and popular fan-created works such as Vocaloid and Touhou.
Anikura has seen a massive surge in popularity over the recent years with multiple events every weekend in nightclubs across all of Japan. The goal of AniParty is to create an authentic, faithful anikura experience for North American fans of anime, anisong, J-Pop, and J-idol culture.
AniParty was founded in 2018 by a group of anisong fans and J-idol enthusiasts with a passion for bringing the high-energy, coordinated frenzy of the anisong live concert crowd atmosphere and eclectic A-POP club scene to the Western world.
Principally based in New York City, AniParty sports a markedly successful track record of hosting seven independent anisong club events along the U.S. Northeast, the largest of which has drawn an auidence of over 90 passionate anisong fans. At AniParty vol 7, we had the privilege of hosting an extremely successful anisong DJ straight from Tokyo: DJ Hitomi!
Additionally, our DJ collective can be found entertaining crowds through anisong DJ showcases at marquee North American anime conventions such as Anime Expo, Anime NYC, Anime Central, and Anime Weekend Atlanta via Lumica, as well as at periodic guest DJ appearances along the convention circuit. In 2019, AniParty had the tremendous opportunity of Guest DJ’ing at Anime NYC‘s official Club Love Live! After Party hosted by SonicBoomBox, alongside accomplished anisong artist and songwriter ZAQ.

DJ Appare
CEO of HENSHIN SOUNDS LLC. and one of the founding members of Team AniParty. His DJing abilities are out-of-the-box, showcasing his sense of humor. He specializes in everything Anisong (old and new), Tokusatsu, gaming, V-tuber, Idol, and J-pop music. With DJ Appare piloting, Anything Goes!
DJ Pleasant
DJ Pleasant is one of the founding members of Team AniParty. He spins the latest anisong beats to classic earworms, and everything Akiba-kei that lays in between. Versed in A-POP culture, he crafts sets that bring along good feels and high energy to keep the crowd yearning for more
DJ SignalΔ
Based in New England, DJ SignalΔ loves to incorporate multiple A-pop subgenres and get creative with his song transitions. He delivers performances ranging from J-pop, anisong, vocaloid, idols, video games, J-core, and everything/anything in between! Popular hits or deep cuts, mashups or remixes, DJ SignalΔ spins them all!
DJ Wazahai
DJing since 2018 from the DC Metro area, DJ Wazahai has been a fan of anisong DJs for a long time, and a fan of anisong in general for even longer. He aims to be a borderless A-Pop DJ, including songs from anime, Vocaloid, Idols, Seiyuu, Vtubers and other otaku subculture works into his sets. Streams often, but always 草.
DJ Moero
From the NYC-based anisong and A-POP DJ collective, AniParty, DJ Moero always celebrates his favorite music from anikura culture – from anisong, idols, J-pop, and everything in between.
DJ Th3rdEye
DJing since 2021, DJ Th3rdEye brings the newly-kindled passion of a recent addition to the Anikura scene! Specializing in anything 2.5D from idol franchises to VTubers, as well as the most recent anisong hits, he hopes to cultivate the next generation of Anikura fans and DJs to keep the scene going!
